FLORAVITAL by Landmark is an excellent product for use by breeders who do not have the experience or knowledge to evaluate disease symptoms (lethargy, poor rump appearance, respiratory distress, polydipsia-polyuria, cholegreenuria, liver enlargement, cholegreenuria, ataxia, wryness, swelling of the abdomen or intestines, nephritis, eye discharge, subcutaneous or periocular masses, etc.). It is a safe first line of defense before the final opinion of the veterinarian (culture-antibiogram, etc.) or which is the safest for the administration of medicinal substances (active substance/ es-dosage-duration).
FLORAVITAL increases the yields of pet birds, with the main active ingredients being the organic acids it contains in its composition. Organic acids reduce the pH of the stomach, have a bactericidal effect in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) against Gram-negative and Gram-positive pathogens, without harming the growth of beneficial lactobacilli (LAB). This, in turn, promotes the establishment of the eubiotic microflora (beneficial bacteria) in the intestine, ensuring better absorption of the nutrients in the feed and having as a direct result the improvement of the living conditions and health of the pet birds.
Given that water is the most important nutrient for living beings, we take into account that pet birds (as monogastric animals) consume 2 to 3 times more water than food! By administering the ingredients of FLORAVITAL through the drinking water, we reduce its pH, therefore inhibiting the growth of pathogens, both in the water and in the gastrointestinal tract of our birds (e.g. salmonella), thus significantly limiting the horizontal transmission of diseases through the common waterers used in the cages or through the breeder’s contact with the kennel utensils. The application of FLORAVITAL in water allows for easy use and safe consumption by pet birds, even in combination with other nutritional supplements that may need to be administered periodically in the breeding cycle.
By providing Floravital at regular intervals we achieve:
- Control of the occurrence of diseases related to bacteria and viruses
- Low impact on bird health of breeding conditions in cages
- Correct adjustment of the pH of the drinking water and sanitation of its quality
- Effective antibacterial barrier in the stomach
- Providing a highly available energy source to build and maintain intestinal integrity
- Well-tested effective botanicals and fatty acids to widen the antibacterial field throughout the digestive system
- Preventing the deposition of biofilm (slime) inside the watering cans and maintaining it for a longer period of time in a good condition so that it can be consumed by birds (e.g. hot summer months).
Dosage and application:
Dosage: 1-2 drops per 110ml watering can (0.5ml/litre)
Application:
Preventive: 2-3 times per week
Emergency administration: 4-5 days in a row, stop for 2 days, repeat for 4-5 days.
After the application of FLORAVITAL, it is recommended to administer PROBIOVITAL to improve the intestinal microflora.
Ingredients: Propionic acid, Formic acid, Lactic acid, Butyric acid, Flavoring substance, medium chain fatty acids (MCFA), plant botanical extracts, propylene glycol.
Content: 300 drops (1ml = 20 drops)
Estimate: The quantity is considered sufficient to cover the needs of 2 birds, for 2-3 months.
