We strengthen the integrity of the intestine

The region of the intestinal wall bears significant responsibility in selecting what can be absorbed and what must remain outside the animal’s body. To put this in perspective, it is important to realize that the surface area of the intestinal tract is 300 times the size of the surface of the skin, playing a crucial role. At the same time, it should provide a decisive level of protection against invaders (pathogens, toxins, etc.), while remaining highly permeable for the absorption of nutrients obtained with food. The healthy condition and, by extension, the smooth functioning of the intestinal epithelium, play a decisive role in protecting the body of pet birds from the pathogens present in the intestinal lumen. Many molecules that enter or are created in the digestive tract (pathogens, free radicals, toxins) put the smooth functioning of the digestive system under constant pressure.

 

Intestinal integrity may additionally be protected by an especially important intestinal coating. This protective layer, which is the result of the interaction of tannin-rich extracts with proteins present in the mucus layer, can reduce the impact of the invasion mechanisms of various deregulating agents of intestinal integrity.

 

We reduce the inflammatory reaction

Inflammation of the intestinal tract is the result of an overactive immune response associated with increased challenge of intestinal immunity. Therefore, the production of inflammatory cytokines is a natural and positive response of the immune system, but the process is highly energy demanding with a direct and significant impact on the performance data of the breeding flock. Although the anti-inflammatory properties of the butyric acid contained in GASTROVITAL are proven to be beneficial, certain plant extracts rich in alkaloids can largely act synergistically in the anti-inflammatory effect of GASTROVITAL. Their mode of action is well defined and understood. The results appear immediately and are visible in the overall behavior of the bird-birds

 

We balance the intestinal microflora

As important as intestinal integrity is, due attention must be paid to a balanced microflora. In this context, GASTROVITAL is not an antibiotic complex, which indiscriminately eliminates all pathogenic and beneficial bacteria, disrupting the microflora. It is specially designed to reduce the negative and harmful effect of ONLY pathogenic bacteria. The action of GASTROVITAL is perfectly combined with products containing organic acids (SCFA* & MCFA*) such as FLORAVITAL, which have been used for several years with great success, to positively influence the intestinal balance of microorganisms.

 

The essential oils contained in the composition of GASTROVITAL have the ability to penetrate the cell membranes of pathogens, which disrupts their normal functions. Different essential oils are likely to have different targets of action, which may explain the fact that combinations appear to be more effective than a single essential oil.

Dosage: 2-4 drops per 110ml watering can (1-2ml per liter of water)

 

Application: 5-6 consecutive days. Repeat after 4 days if necessary.
